January 2009 Newsletter Happy New Year! I trust that your families had a joyous holiday season and you are now ready to tackle your new years resolutions. Congratulations to all the football State Champions! You have all worked very hard to attain your goal and the memories will last a lifetime. Basketball is well underway, and the spring sports are just around the corner. WOW, it is busy! Good luck in all your events. URGENT! I’m calling out to the wives in the greater Austin area. It is time to begin planning for the convention next summer and we need to assemble a team. We will need a leader, a treasurer and lots of volunteers. If you have an interest in being part of the planning committee, please email me your contact information. If you have any ideas for sessions, or would like to host a session, send me that information too! We are going to put together a great event in Austin. Be on the lookout for more details in my coming newsletters. I would like all of you to start thinking about nominations for “Woman of the Year”. Coach’s wives are such special people. I know my life has been touched by more than one of them. If you have a special wife in mind, send me a nomination letter detailing just how wonderful she is. We want to know all about her. Send it to me regular mail or email. My contact information is listed below. We are starting the year off on the right foot. We have 600 members! This is a very exciting way to kick off 2009. We don’t want to stop there. If you have not had the opportunity to join, or know of a wife that could benefit from our sisterhood, please complete the form below and include your $5 membership dues.
